This is a Veertualia /maps demo article

Veertualia /maps Joomla! module works in combination with Veertualia /locals and allows the user to display Veertualia /locals geo-tagged items on a beautiful and customizable map.

What can Veertualia /maps do for you?

Veertualia /maps Joomla! module is the perfect map complement for Veertualia /locals. It lets you add a beautiful and customizable map and display your Veertualia /locals global business directory geotagged content wherever you want. You can filter the displayed items by type, category, order results, author etc. Also, optionally, it lets you embed the structured data related to the selected Joomla! entries in the page where you are using it.

Cool! But what is structured data and why does it matter?

Structured data is a way to add information to your content so that machines (read: search engines) can better understand it.
As stated by Google, when your pages contain structured data, search engines can use it to better index your content or to make it more prominent in search results.

Since all major search engines support the schema.org vocabulary for structured data, Veertualia /maps can embed this data into your map page by using JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation – Linked Data) encoding, a simpler way to add information to a web page without using HTML markup so that it is completely isolated from the page HTML and easier to maintain while providing the same quality information to data consumers, such as search engines.

And how does it work?

Veertualia /maps is a standard Joomla! module. Create a new instance of it, choose a map layout and the Joomla! content you want to display in the map and place it everywhere you want. That’s it! Quick, nice and easy! No need to mess with code or edit your template.

(You may actually see some errors but they are related to the "Article" markup and are not due to Veertualia /maps)
