My name is Giovanni Ottavi. I was born in Rome (Italy) and, since 2013, I have lived in Barcelona, where I founded Veertualia to offer comprehensive services in web development, technology consulting and digital communication. Consequently, clients get an end‑to‑end partner rather than a simple supplier.
I started developing software in C / C++ for radio stations and later moved toward complex GIS systems and command‑and‑control platforms for security and defense agencies. This path allowed me to lead high‑impact projects, such as the implementation of mobile video surveillance systems and real‑time operational coordination for firefighters and the armed forces. Moreover, these experiences sharpened my ability to deliver under pressure.
In addition to my technical work, I have led technology companies, managing multidisciplinary teams, corporate strategies and European funds (FEDER). As a result, I can bridge the gap between technical architecture and business needs, while never losing sight of the importance of effective communication.
In recent years I have expanded my skills into digital marketing and audiovisual content production. I am an expert in WordPress and PHP, and I have developed numerous corporate websites, online stores and custom plugins. Furthermore, I enjoy creating visual identities, editing video and photography, and writing SEO‑optimized content that helps brands stand out.
